Players compete in one of two age divisions based on their date of birth.
* Junior Division: Born in 1998 or later
* Senior Division: Born in 1997 or earlier

It is my secret shame that I lied about my age in order to play in the local Pokemon CCG league a decade ago. I was 13; I think the upper age limit was 12. I'm glad that such a thing is no longer necessary.
